Researcher and Alumni representatives

The EngD researcher representative and EngD alumni representative are members of the AEngD steering committee. They rep provides input into committee decisions from, respectively, the perspectives of current researchers engaged on the EngD programme, and researchers who have graduated from the EngD programme and moved into industry. 

Vladimirs.jpgThe current research rep is Vladimirs Horjkovs. Vladimirs is in his final year of EngD at a consortium of universities led by Heriot-Watt University (CDT in Applied Photonics). He is sponsored by AMETEK Taylor Hobson Ltd, an ultra-precision technology company with expertise in the field of surface, roundness and form metrology.
 
aengd_261113_037.jpgThe current alumni rep is Dr Marek Kubik. Marek graduated with an EngD from the TSBE Centre at Reading and has subsequently worked in the UK Parliament before returning to his EngD sponsor AES as a strategy advisor to their business.
